Default AR09 - Question - fuel stop(s)

As I'm currently attempting to sort out a suitable route for this year's rideout - early I know, but I want to know it inside out, backwards, forwards & upside down by August - I have a question :-

Given that there is a petrol station only 2 miles from the campsite where I would expect everyone to fill up before we leave, how far would people be happy to ride before needing to stop (I'm NOT talking about coffee/smoke/food breaks ONLY petrol) ?

At the moment I'm looking at a single fuel stop at about 65 miles - does anyone have a problem with this ?

I'm always fine with about 100, but some on the SV 1000 might want something around the 80 mile mark.

I can do 120 miles between fill ups.

although 65 miles is a good time for a leg-stretch and to ward off the numb bum. and to do a wee. and to have a drink. and poke fun at someone.

Just base it on your own range on your new bike, we'll all be fine. But thanks for thinking of us

My fuel light comes on around 80 if I am dicking around, however would expect to get 100 on a rideout with no problem - my @rse will be ready for a stop by then anyway

65 sounds a bit too short to me. My fuel light comes on at around 85 miles when filtering in London traffic, with over 20 miles left. On more open roads, I'll get a lot more than that. A stop between 80 and 90 should be fine.

If we refuel at 65 miles, I suspect that most people will only be putting half a tank in, and they won't want to skip refuelling as they won't want to risk running out.

At AR08 I filled my tank to the brim the night before the ride. I was intending to fill up at the second stop, but decided to top up at the first stop. I think that was around 60ish miles as I can't remember where I put my map.

I put £10 of petrol in, I consider that roughly a tank. I don't think that I would have made it to the second stop while continuing to mark.

Depends which bike i'm on. Black one, runs on fumes, and you get good mileage, putting in 2/3rds of what everyone else does
Yellow one..well I can't remember how that one does for fuel on standard gearing.

Numb bum, nah, Corbin seat can sit forever on will most likely fill up night before anyhoo, but 65 sounds ok to me
