2 exhausts?
Please excuse the newbie question!
It looked like some of the bikes had both an underseat exhaust and what I would call a MotoGP style (side) exhaust. Now I am pretty confident the side one was an exhaust, so what's under the seat? looked far too big to be a camera. Thanks |

Re: 2 exhausts?
Some of them do run two exhausts.
The Repsol Honda bikes have another exhaust under the seat. Also so do the Suzuki's I think.

Re: 2 exhausts?
I thought it was Pedrosa's I saw it on. Thanks
Bit strange why not symetrical - looks like they can't make up their mind. |

Re: 2 exhausts?
Ducati also have 2 exhausts. One exits under the seat and the other is devishly exiting at the lower right hand side of the fairing.

Re: 2 exhausts?
From memory it's due to the V configuration of the Duke, Honda and Suzuki engines (I think). Having two exhausts, one for the rear cylinders and one for the front cylinders, means they don't have to mess around with extra pipe work to get the exhausts the same length.

Re: 2 exhausts?
Ah, makes sense - which of course it wouldn't just be for no reason.

Re: 2 exhausts?
Can I put other newbie question in here?
Why do Fiat sponsor Rossi & his team mate They make cars don't they, or have I got that wrong as well? |

I don't think there's anything too strange or surprising that a huge Italian brand (cars or otherwise) would want to be associated with Rossi. The team is also based in Italy remember. |

Re: 2 exhausts?
OK, just wondered if it was some completely different Fiat.
And it's not as if there's some cigarette smoking competion that Marlbro could sponsor instead |

Re: 2 exhausts?
Well "Tena for men" sponsors a team in BSB... panty liners for men with weak bladder problems. So given that... Fiat sponsoring Yamaha in MotoGP doesn't seem so strange! .
