Re: Bob's Track Project
Still have just enough time to get in on the group buy for a lightened flywheel if you want to get a bit more poke out of your motor for track days.
Search my posts or millemille's for details.

Re: Bob's Track Project
Have you done a throttle body balance and TPS adjustment to make sure you are getting the best you can from the motor ? Also if you are running the standard airbox have a look at the air inlet snorkel , I always remove the bottom inch or so ( use the thicker webbing reinforced area as the cut point , you will see what I mean when you look ) as it is very close to the loom multi plugs and therefore a bit of a restriction , hence the inlet snorkel mod and costs nothing .

Re: Bob's Track Project
Thanks Sastay. That bike looks the nuts. I think I'll have a go at getting my R1 track panels on my K7. Did you have to make brackets? What front subframe (the one that holds the clocks) are you using? Standard one? How about the seat subframe?
Kev, I'm going to run the motor as standard I think for the time being. Lightening flywheels is great but I worry it'll lose the smoothness in running and I imagine a biggish twin needs a hefty flywheel to get keep things rotating smoothly. Prokartman - thanks for the tip. Not looked at this. Is this the thing you do with the vacuum guages or is that a carb balance? I think its the latter. Need to look into it. Cheers guys Rob Last edited by UKBob23; 30-03-17 at 01:38 PM. |

But the brackets are deffo home made, nothing complicated. The rear subframe is original, the seat cowl is from a gsxr750 with a couple of 1.5" spacers at the back. As for the front, I have no idea. I will try and get some pics uploaded that may help Regards |

These are of the upper fittings. these are not very descriptive but hopefully give you a feel for the routing etc.. please note both brackets extends approx' 100mm downwards from where it extends beyond the frame. There is also another shot of the belly pan in this set too |
