Tank grips
The tank is already starting to get a bit dulled where my knee and 'slim' belly touch it. . A bit surprised really cos the SV tank never showed up this.
Anyways. Got some tank grip (Eazi-Grip) and cut out some sections. Not bad stuff I reckon.

Re: Tank grips
I have the carbon fibre tank[belly zip] one on mine but for the sides I used clear plastic film that you use on a car. Really surprised that it was showing wear already though.
Its good for the side/back fairings as it stops the rub marks of your thigh or bungees and you can't see it when it is on. Last edited by Dicky Ticker; 13-04-13 at 10:32 PM. |

Re: Tank grips
Yeah so was I. The trouble with 'clear' is that it is already dulled/marked and won't polish up.

Tank grips
Try searching for 'helitape', it's what we used to cover our mountain bikes when I used to race them.
The 3m one if really thick and protective
