'Angel Eyes' and new indicators?
Hello all and was wondering if any one has any experiance with these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HALO-Angel-Eye...1%7C240%3A1318 i no there a little chav but have never seen these on a bike in real life and was wondering if there any good.
Also i was looking at these to tidy up the front end of the bike http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GSXR-600-750-K...1%7C240%3A1318 and they have the load risistors so they wont flash fast but i am conserned with weather other drivers will be able to notice them. Thanks Dom |

Re: Advice before i purchace new bits for my k7
Angel eyes might look alright, I was under the impression flush indicators were illegal tho. Anyhoo after having a performance with my own led indicators those one's advertised seem to be controlling the flashing with lots of resistance, as YC learned me this'll draw power from the battery in the form of heat so you're best using a decent set of indicators and a flasher unit. A user on here (think it's screech) has a flasher unit for sale. If I was you I'd buy the indicators from a shop not ebay then you have the option to take them back. I got four led indis from me local shop for £30 t'other day.
I opted for little arrow shaped led ones (over my crap aftermarket standard carbon affect ones already fitted as I drove behind my bike and they weren't noticeable) the arrow ones are tidy and a bit brighter. disclaimer: apologies if I got the resistor thing wrong!

The halo lights have been around for years on cars. Never seen 'em on a bike though.
I personaly wouldn't do it but give it a go and see what you think. Indies should be fine. |

I take it the halo things are just strips of fluorescent tubing you fit inside your lamp houseing, aslong as they have a seperate switch fitted somewhere I'd go for them.

Well it looks like the Angel Eyes are illegal too.
Also it looks like you need to open up the headlight unit to fit - which will involve baking it in an oven to soften the glue. Could end up damaging your Headlights - or ending up with non-watertight ones. Or it could all go fine...... Pays your money, takes your chance.......

Re: Advice before i purchace new bits for my k7
hello thanks for your advice i emailed the selller and he said part of the instilation prosses is putting it in the oven heating it up so the glue goes soft then you pull it apart so this is a deffenate no go. Personally i think if you put it into the oven theres a good chance you will distort or discolour the lense.
