On a similar note I worked out today how to create a route in Motogoloco, then import it into my Garmin and Stuart's using Basecamp. It's making route planning for our trip up North a breeze.

Having said that the TomTom wiggly route options aren't too bad. Just need to work out which holder and mounting hardware I need for the GSX-F now so I can use it on two wheels as well as four.
set tyre up for TomTom device then choose TomTom menu on the top bar then from the list 'copy to TomTom'. you will need the TomTom drivers on your computer.

there are a load of useful features that tyre has so just gives a PM if you want to know anything as i'm a bit of a whizz with it

Doesn't work like that with the Go 5100 apparently. Tried all that, tried shouting at it, read through the support and forum postings and concluded that as it has a built in sim it doesn't connect to computers like Rider models do. The MyDrive site recognises it when plugged in so it's all fine. It doesn't have bluetooth either but it has live traffic that doesn't need a smartphone hoovering up your data allowance which is fine with me.

Now have a USB outlet wired in by the clocks and a waterproof cover for the Go 5100. Shame the tank was almost full as it makes lifting it to route the cable a right sod.

Popped out this evening to check angles and line of sight and all seems well. Pretty stable holder too with a built in sun visor for bright days. Just need a free weekend to try it out properly.

Seeing Spiderman's Facebook post telling us that his lost kitten has been found, she'd been missing for weeks and he'd given up hope of finding her.

Leaving in the morning on a four day trip to the mountains on the bike!
Day 1 : 7 1/2 hours ride to the Hotel to meet some friends.
Try to arrive as early in the afternoon as possible or risk getting caught in terrible storms.
Get up early and ride like the wind !!!

The rest of the trip will be a bit more relaxed. I'll try to take some pics while I am there and on the way home.

Heading home from France on the ferry and looking forward to seeing my lovely hound again and also to setting off on the bike on Monday morning for four days in Scotland.
