Default oil type - 5w or 10w?

Prob been asked before - but a QUICK search brought back not a lot and i need to get some oil quick!

Checked on halfords and it does
5W-40 Synthetic 5L for £27.99

and

10W-40 Part Synthetic 5L £21.99

Need it in a rush ( seems the window on the bike is empty )
and just need some to keep it going while i order some decent stuff + i need some to put in my SORN'd CBR 125...

Reccommendations please?

Yep. Semi-synthetic too.

That 10w40 Part-synthetic from Halfords is the stuff I've just used when I serviced the SV.

Yes but bike oil, not car oil. Hein Gericke do a 10W40 part synthetic by Motul for about £25. The clutch feel is really good using this oil. I did use car oil once, never again.
