SV650 K3 Exhaust Systems
hi i am looking for a new exhaust for my sv650 it currently has a devil can on. and it is still restricted to 33bhp. im looking at a racetip exhaust i know they don't do one for the sv but they do one for the gsxr. if i am correct the gsxr and sv pipework diameter are the same and if not i would have to get some custom pipework!does anybody recoomend any other exhausts. i preferably want a stubby can!or 2 into 2 exhaust system but the only people i know of who does 2 into 2 is laser and that exhaust system doesn't fit due to i know someone who has the same bike and tryed fitting that exhaust system!Any suggestions?
Many Thanks Sio |

Re: SV650 K3 Exhaust Systems
when you say the pipe work on the gsxr exhaust system is the same as the sv do you mean the dia of the end can is the same?
and what is it you are really looking a full after market system or another can? |

Re: SV650 K3 Exhaust Systems
2-2 systems don't work, they make no difference to performance compared to a 2-1 system and weigh more. The common link pipe diameter for an SV is 51mm, email the exhaust manufacturer you are interested in and see if they make a can with a 51mm inlet.
An easy solution would be to cut your current can down, or get a pre stubbied exhaust. As asked above, what is it exactly you are looking for??? |

Re: SV650 K3 Exhaust Systems
Also that GSXR can will be a four bolt fittment and its not going to fit your SV stock pipework without getting the pipework modified with some sort of adaptor.
Have a look in the exhaust section, IMHO you can get what you want without faffing about with custom pipework.

Re: SV650 K3 Exhaust Systems
It'll sound sh*te. Get a proper can and stubby it down. Both those are meant for GSXR's which have the silencer built into the exhaust further down from the end can, with that on an SV it'll basically be unsilenced if its the can I am thinking of and having heard Stu's bike with an R6 can on it, it's just noise and theres no tone to it.
Why don't you rate the remus. One of the best cans on the market IMHO. If you want a stubby, just buy a 2nd hand can off ebay and cut it down.
