Default New to SV - low tickover.

Hi all,

new to the SV world. Just got the bike.It has 67k on the clock. Bike has been sitting at seller's for months due to a bent radiator. Idled the bike for 10mins at seller's house and everything was ok other than the idle speed was a little low. Shipped it home. Did oil change with delvac 15w40 and some fuel stabilizer and 91 in the the tank. Tried to start the bike but it has super low cold idle(1k~700rpm) and died within a minute. I cant figure out what is happening as it ran ok before shipping. Any help would be appreciated. cheers

some more info. Bike was cold with good battery measured 12.8V

on the lefthand side (sitting on the bike) within the middle triangle of the frame is an idle adjust screw/ throttle stop screw (crosshead), start the bike and hold at around 2000 rpm for 5 minutes or so until it's up to temp, adjust the screw (clockwise for faster) until the idle revs are about 1300 or so.

Cheers Mark.
