Ha, well you can call me Dr Mav now . First injection administered, and my wife said I did it better than the nurse last night. I used this as my training guide

Thanks for all your good wishes.

Glad Mrs Mav is on the road to recovery of course but I now have the "giving medication to a cat vs a dog" discussion in my head. Do you have to risk life and limb in order to give the injection or do you just wrap it in bacon and (to mix discussions) toss it like a dart?

Apparently my wife used the same training guide and followed it more closely!
Had a few hundred shots in the stomach at home and every one felt like this.
Been a year since the last one now and the bruising is ,well, almost gone.

The ironic thing is, my wife is complaining that the worst pain is coming from her back where the anesthetist stuck the epidural in, which was supposed to help with the pain in her lower half, otherwise she thinks she'd be fine?

Parents and tech. Aaaaarrrrrgggghhhhhhh!!!!!!

I'm in Norfolk trying to explain how to use Skype to my parents. And how to attach files to emails and the most basic things without throttling them. I am being sooooooooo patient but it's wearing really thin now. As far as I'm concerned if something has buttons and is more complicated than a cardigan then septegenarians should not be allowed to have them. We move on to the scanner tomorrow but I may have to go for a long walk first.

My b astard brother gets away without this by hiding in Australia. He's coming over this year and I plan to have a slightly blunt conversation with him about the things he's missing out on.

And breath.....

My brother only a 5 min walk from my Mum, who's in early stages dementia, but my sister & me are doing the bulk of the stuff for my mum. Ok hes a single dad, but his kids are 19 & 21, and are independent. I'm 20 mins away, my sis is 2 hours away.

With my wife going into hospital & trying to sort stuff out for my mum, my feet haven't touched the ground this week!

I don't know what if anything he's done, hes not in your brothers category, but I know how you feel Sir Trev

Mav, without being rude to your bro I have to say that my 5 kids have all been totally out of my hair at 19.

On a brighter note I'm really looking forward to GM10, Mrs LOM has said to take a Thursday to get part way there and Monday to ride part way home. So a 4 day weekend away. Cannot wait.

So AR?

Nope, Mrs LOM thinks that she may be "bike out" when we get home from a ride to Dubrovnik the Monday before the GM so she wants me to be gentle with her. So only a 1000 miles in the 4 days
