Happy Birthday Britains first Motorway
Today, the M6 round preston, AKA the Preston bypass turns 60. Opened by Harold McMillan who was the first to travel on it in an Austin Sheerline
When it opened there were no speed limits and only two lanes in each direction. Today that section has 4 in each direction.But as a birthday treat lane 4 was closed due to flooding.
