Default Sale or Swap - My 2006 SV650s

Hi Chaps/Ladies,
Unfortunately I need to free up some cash, but having only passed my test back in November, I want to stay on two wheels.
Therefore I'm either looking to sell my SV and buy another cheaper bike, or happy to do a swap/px on a cheaper bike plus some cash.

For sale at £2995
Or make me an offer of a swap - what have you got?

The bike has just over 9,000 miles with fsh, It's due it's first MOT and this will be done before a sale.
Only imperfections are paint peeling on the aftermarket wing mirrors, and some marks on the grab rail.

Cheers,
AL

I wouldn't do it mate.

You are looking to get rid of a bike you know the history and condition of and then get something that will be older, and an unknown.

Most you will pocket in cash would be £500-£700 in my opinion (not an expert though) which could easily be eaten up in repairs to whatever you changed for.

Just my 2p's worth.

Dont you have another way of raising that kind of money? Maybe talk to a family member about them loaning you it against the value of the bike?

Or try a local Credit Union - they seem to be a good way of getting low-value loans at decent rates.

DOn't say that! ... cos ... cos ... I'm doing the same Looked after the bike like I was going to keep it forever too.
Good luck with the sale anyway. K6 in a showroom seems to go for £3.4!

Surely that depends completely on what he swaps for, of which he has made no mention.

If you need the money for other things then do what you have to do!
