It's really not any harder than taking your old cams out and putting the new ones in. They can be used one of 2 ways. Like for like all the timing marks are exactly the same on pointy & curvy, so it's no harder than putting your old ones back. The other way is to use 2 sets of inlet cams, which is a little less straight forward. I've not done that as this is for a minitwin, if it was a road bike I'd be more tempted. Clicky.

1) Do one head at a time, the cams are marked INF,EXF,INR,EXR. Put them in the right places.
2) It may be worth getting hold of some K3 cam chain tensioners as well, though it's by no means essential. They really are a much nicer design.
3) Roll the motor over a few times and check the clearances again as you've changed one of the surfaces involved. In my case they were still fine but there you go.
4) Make sure you can get hold of cam chain tensioner gaskets. The front one usually tears. The rear may do too.

Sorry my question should have been a bit more precise. I've got that bayareariders blog on the cam swap, cheers.

Any tips on getting the ccts in and out?

Well, I used a narrow screwdriver and held it in place with a bit of tape but it was a bit of a fiddle. I'm planning on making one of these out of some thin metal as being able to just pull the tab out should free up a load of effort: http://www.svrider.com/forum/showthr...?postid=906763

To remove them i just undo the 5mm headed Allen bolts and let the tensioner extend while undoing

I made a simple tool up today with a used can and some tin snips. 10 minutes well spent and reinstalling the front CCT was much easier with it in place.
