Talking The Steed that replaced the SV

After 8 years of having an SV i decided it was time for a change. I want to do more touring and longer trips so decided to get a new bike.
BMW F800ST, 2006/56 with full BMW luggage. I've not had much of a chance to ride it properly yet, but so far it's imense fun

Nice! I'm turning into a bit of a Beemer fan. I've a feeling that my next purchase will have BMW written on it, very nice

It's so comfy-the seat, seating position & suspension. I'm getting a taller screen as i get a bit of wind blast at motorway speeds. It is indeed belt drive so zero maintenance required!

I've always liked them and finally taken the plunge. The SV is a great bike, but it built on a budget. This, being a BMW, isn't built to such a small/tight budget and still has great quality and features. Features that are useful/informative and what you want. For instance self cancelling indicators, average MPG, remaining range, gear position indicator etc. Lots of toys, all great and a lush bike. I'd reccommend a ride on one.

Oh yes, that's the plan! Plenty of touring to be done and plans in the pipeline

I just checked the insurance for a 57 plate and it's £276 for me; 1 year no claim and held license for only 1 year......that's got to be a great deal!

This makes the bike even more appealing

Oh yes! Mine is cheap too, much cheaper then the SV was. Not to mention the ST is also much better on fuel. On the SV i could get 45MPG on average. With this i am currently getting 58MPG and i'm not hanging around on it.
