Default Cleaning/refurbishing top clamp?

Hi all - my SV retro racer project is well under way.

I'm replacing lots of bits and the end result is some other bit look shabby by comparison.

One part that's a little grubby is the top triple tree clamp/steering stem. It's not damaged, just a little dirty/corroded

Other than having it powder coated, any top tips for cleaning it to bring it to a nearly new look?

Looks like only the Top-Plate is a bit grotty but that kind of grooved Ally always goes like that.

If you didn't mind the elbow grease or have a palm sander you could you flat it with some 500 grit and then metal polish it?

+1. Take it off and sand/polish it, will look stunning.
