Hi there and WELCOME!

Pop over to Glasgow for the Easter Egg Run on Sunday if you can. You'll meet some of the lad n lassies and have the chance to see & hear a few different cans on SVs. Not only that, but you'll have a ball - it's a great procession through the city and the buzz and banter's excellent.

Pretty much any can will do - a baked bean can will sound better than the original

At the 'cheap end' of the market are firms like Fuel & Carbon Can Co. Next are firms like Scorpion and Micron, and at the top end are Remus, Renegade and Akropovic.

All have slightly different sounds, and most will 'claim to increase horsepower', however you will do well to notice the increase.

The biggest benefits of a new can are:-

1) Reduced weight - stock can is damn heavy
2) Better looks - stock can is damn ugly
3) Better sound - stock can is too quiet

Work out how much you want to pay, see what is in your budget and get the one you like the sound/look of.

Lots more info about exhaust here >>>>>>>>>>>>>

Another benefit I find is the heat dissipation. The OEM can gets very hot, while the carbon oval I put on is cool to the touch 5mins after the bike is turned off.

What color is your bike? Pointy or curvy?

Light color (yellow, silver) think about carbon;
Dark color (black, blue, red) think titanium or stainless.

Pointy... oval or tri-oval or stubby;
Curvy... round or oval.

If you don't mind used, check out eBay!!! You'll get one for 1/2 or 1/3 the cost of new.

[edit] just re-read, you've got a curvy. IMO, go w/an oval can. [/edit]
