Default Rally schools

Has anyone done one of those Rally School days?

If so, would you recommend the place you went to, and what sort of ratio of drivers:car did you get?

Also, what would you suggest looking out for when deciding on where to book?

Thanks!

I done one a long time ago in Wales. Cant remember who it was. However, from what i can remember, you got your practice laps in an old Mk2 Escort around a sort of figure of 8 course, then you got a couple of laps in a Saphire cossie, then a trip in the Group B rally car with the boss driving!!

It was ok, but wouldnt do it again!

Edit, This is where we went. looks like its perked up a bit since i went http://www.philprice.co.uk

Look out for trees, they dent the cars.

Had a days rally experience at Brands Hatch for my 40th - a while back now - . Not really a school type thing.
You had a session in the classroom all about breaking points and momentum, inertia etc then went out on a couple of stages built round the back of the race track.

You had expert co-driver/insructor in a fully race prepared Escort and did a number of practice laps trying to sort out breaking, sliding, drifting etc then a timed 'hot lap'. If memory serves you had a 'go' on each of the two stages.

After your last 'hot lap' the insrtuctor took the wheel and showed you how it 'should' be done.

ddon't know how much it was as it was a pressie but enjoyed it a lot. They apparently do a longer day with more time at gthe wheel, but only if you have done the first day.

Link thing to where I went:
