Default Recommend me a protection vest

Im after some good protection i can wear while out on my DRZ but also double up as some extra protection under my leathers, anyone got any suggestions.
The only one i have seen so far that looked ok was an alpinestars one priced at £160.

Any suggestions welcome...

You could look for some forcefield products.. http://www.forcefieldperformance.com/
They list the prices online and the protective parts are not held together by velcro, so it will last more than the a*.. but it is priced higher than the a* one, so if 160 is scary (and these cost 180-230), then nope, they're not what you might be looking for.

I remember seeing an a* vest on ebay going for 50 euros from a german guy, but that was about a month ago, so it surely isn't up for grabs any longer, but I haven't looked for them recently (I want one of these too, but don't yet have the cash for a new one and no one would post a used one to my country...)

I have a slightly older version of this however mine is a full lycra inner jacket, but without the chest armour, is very useful in the hot weather to as you can throw a denum over the top and still have full armour protection.

Cheers Mark.
