Castle Combe 28-29th July
Anyone from here planning to go for race day on 29th July, I shall be riding over to join my friends who live quite near to the circuit, sounds like it'll be a blast.
Look out for me, my bike is completely different from all other sv's out there, apart from Grinch! It's raspberry and a single seater with a stubby exhaust (oh and clanger written on the numberplate) |

I've never been to Castle Coombe, well past it a few times with the MoFos but never TO IT..
I may pop down for a perusal. Is it good for spectators?

Some good spectator points at CC as the bak is raised so you can see over the fencing, my preferred spot is at Quarry although the view of the chicane after that is also pretty good.

A quote from the CC site about the known problems with noise:
In our experience the following machines may not pass our strict limits:- Suzuki GSXR600 – 2006 model GSXR 750 K6 & K7 GSXR1000 K6 – 2006 model with standard exhaust Yamaha R6 – 2006 model They've now added my bike to the list, I had mine tested by them back in February time. |

Plus just about anything with a noisier exhaust.
They do drive-by testing as well which gets some people. You can pass the static 3/4 revs test, but out on the track with induction roar etc, they might pull you back in if they think you've changed your can in the pits. |

Limit is 105db so I put the standard exhaust back on (SV650S K6) and it read 95db, but my hubby's standard exhaust on his ZX 636 R was 105db on the nose (phew!) |
