6,900 Miles
V5 (Logbook) in Hand
3 Previous Owners
Stainless Steel Remus Exhaust

Services Performed at 600 Miles, 4500 Miles , 6600 Miles .

The service at 6600 miles involved New Oil, New Spark Plug, New Air Filter, adjust and lube all cables, replace all fluids.

I purchased the bike with 4000 miles on the clock about 1 year ago and have taken it to 6900 miles problem free. The bike will be sold with a full 12 month MOT for peace of mind for the new owner and currently has 3-4 months tax left on it.

The bike was damaged 2 weeks after it was first registered and fully repaired and is classed as a CAT-C, but dont let this put you off as the bike is in perfect working order and is in very good condition as you can see from the photos. I would suggest you perform a HPI check to confirm what i am saying is correct.

At the point the bikes was classed as a CAT-C a Vehicle Identification Check (VIC) will have been performed which is like an advance MOT to make sure the bike safe to go back on the road.

As the bike has been damaged in the past but has been fully repaired and passed 3 MOT's and covered approximately 7,000 miles since it was damaged you can be assured that there are no issues, BUT i would not expect anyone to take my word for this and would be delighted to let any potential buyer take the bike for a nice long test ride as i have cash in hand and you have insurance.

The bike is very tidy for age and only has a few minor signs of use.

Obviously as the bike is classed as a Cat - C i will not be expecting to sell for the same price as a bike that is not a Cat -C.

Ian, do you have any detail of what the damage was? I know the insurance company's write bikes off so easily, shame really.. just wondering where the damage happened on the bike.

I dont have any more in formation other that it was written off 2 weeks after first being registered which can be confirmed when you perform a HPI check.

I have had the tank/rear seat/front seat off the bike when servicing and cant find any signs of damage. It really would be an ideal bike for someone that is going to cover a lot of mileage as its a genuine modern low mileage bike that has already devalued due to being CAT C. You would be getting a lot of bike for your money in my eyes.

I have owned 25+ bike in my time riding and would not have ever considered buying a CAT C bike early on in my biking history as i did not have a clue about bikes, but over time i have gained knowledge and experience and decided to go view this bike when i purchased it originally as i knew what to check for.

The reason for selling is i have just purchased another bike, i tend to own bike for 6 to 12 months then get bored and buy something completely different. I have just purchased a 1996 Thundercat that i am in the process of refurbishing and will be my new pride and joy.

A quick video i took after purchasing the bike, i adjusted the idle down a little after watching the video at home . It was ticking over at about 1900 rpm so i knocked it down to 1400 as recommended in the manual.

The sound in the video does not do the bike justice, the camera i used has a rubbish microphone.

How can the bike have covered 7000 miles since being Cat C'd when the bike has only covered 6900? I assume it's a typo?

I can't really talk with any authority on the cycle parts, but the engine is basically the same as the one in my Pegaso, although in a slightly lower tune and shifting an extra 10 kg, but it's a lovely little lump; you ride the torque on these engines , two up at motorway speeds is more than doable, economic as well (easy 50-55mpg conservatively), and massive service intervals (10,000km / 6,250 miles), I seroiusly thought it would be an issue dropping from 140 bhp to the 50 of the pegaso (the MT03 is rated at 44), but was surprise how capable it actually was.

Its probably just short of 7000 miles now as i still use it occasionally to keep battery charged ect...

I live in between Leeds and Bradford BD4

Thanks for the free bump, yer the service intervals were quite far apart if i remember correctly. The bike does really feel like a solid piece of kit. I get 100 miles to about 8 liters approx and i think the bike has a 15 liter tank.

Another bump, The bike passed its MOT today with no advisories so its good for another 12 months.

From my experience the bike seems to be about the same as an sv650 to insure. Replacement parts are available on wemoto at a reasonable cost even though the bike is not that common. The bike is quite good on fuel, it does about 110 miles from full to fuel light activation. The fuel light is activated when 10 liters have been used and you have another 5 liters left at this point until empty (seems a bit early too me for the fuel light to come on to be honest)

You will get quite a bit of attention due to the modern funky looks of the bike and the nice roar of the twin exhaust system. The bike has massive amount of torque, even more than the sv650 and is a real riders bike as you have to use the gears to get the best out of the bike. The bike performs best when going from 2,000 rpm to about 6,500 rpm. The bike has a relatively low rev limit and gear changes a required quite often when making progress. A point to note is that i have owned 30+ bikes over the years i have been riding and pride myself in maintaining them to a high standard both mechanically and visually, i hate seeing dirty bikes.

Just think how happy you would be riding this bike, it certainly put a grin on my face when i bought it as i was a little bored of the sv650 as i had familiarized myself with sv650 so much i really fancied something a bit different.


I would be interested in a swap for an off road bike of similar value
