Carrying a Pillion
Evenin all
I have a new k6 sv650s and was planning on carrying pillion over the weekend, I haven't adjusted the the suspension from the factory settings and wondered if this would be wise. Both me and my brother weigh about 10 1/2 stone each any idea's as to whether the standard settings will cope or should adjust it, any help would great. Thanks Paul |

Yes the secret of carrying a pillion (with the idea you want them to get on again ) is to be smooooth and take your time. Also very low speed handling will be compromised by the bike requiring a lot more balance than you're used to. But it's like anything, practice makes perfect. I enjoy Mrs Jonboy on the back (and pillion's good too ).
Oh and remember not to show off, cos you might think it's clever but your pillion will think you're a complete t*sser . . |

And don't forget.....
....to advise your pillion not to shift their weight around when you are approaching traffic lights.....
The only pice of advise I forgot to give Mrs B when I took her out for the first time and it was (probably) more scary than a high speed wobble, just wasn't expecting the bike to move when it did! |

I'd go up a couple clicks on the rear spring just so the bike sits about right two up
with out it makes the steering like a "OCC chopper"
