Default Yorkshire Air Ambulance

With Melodys off at the weekend, and a rather odd trend that seems to be affecting the org at the mo - I'd like to setup a donation page for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA).

They came to Melodys rescue, where it would have taken an ambulance ages to find us - if you havn't seen the pages about the off, she is OK and recovering.

Unless there is already one setup by this site, I'll create one - and you can donate directly to them (unless a site admin wants to do it?).

On their site there are details of how you can donate as a one off:

Making a donation by text is the quick and easy way to lend your support
Text HELI to 84010 to make a £3.00 donation
Text YAAC to 84010 to make a £1.50 donation

This is just an idea, but I'd really like to get something done - as a bit of a thankyou.

Great idea.

We were only discussing yesterday how disgusting it is that the government don't fund air ambulances.

Donation made.

An excellent suggestion, just to further it more, bikers at Squires did a do for the ambulance not too long ago. A local bikers life was saved due to them, although (i think) he'd suffered paralysis in some degree. The ambulance decended on Squires and was publicised by Richard Hammond on a morning program recently...

We attended the' perverts in leather' rally a couple of years ago and a lot of proceeds went to the local air ambulance in Derby, perhaps if there were a lot of attendees, we could get a collection at the AR next year and donate then??? perhaps a little difficult, but what would folk think to that? Or donate to the local one to the AR??
