Re: I'm guessing...
Just read your post. Hope you get over it. I'm glad I've had both jabs and will happily take a booster if they offer it.

If you had Pfizer you may well need a booster, studies in Israel show that protection from Pfizer vaccine declines quite quickly and does not last that long, AZ has slower decline and lasts longer - they have figured out that naturally acquired immunity is best, so do not know why they are pressuring people under 40 with no other conditions to get jabbed.

Re: I'm guessing...
Pfizer starts at a higher protection than AZ (80% vs 67% against delta infection), declines more quickly and they both end up at about the same effectiveness after four to five months .............. at least according to government sources anyway

These vaccines provide very high levels of protection against moderate to severe COVID-19." https://www.news-medical.net/news/20...-immunity.aspx I'm sure there are other studies/papers with different conclusions or summaries.

Re: I'm guessing...
Still here but it's been... unpleasant.
My fever reached 103.3°F (Tue) at which point I changed the battery in the thermometer (didn't help). Sleeping is erratic but I finally got some sleep Tue night (from Saturday) but awoke with the feeling I was drowning - sweat was running off me in rivulets. (TMI?) My temp is somewhere between 99°F and 100°F my thermometers disagree (I bought another one). No sleep Wed night and then covid's next gift - weird taste or no taste at all plus no sense of smell on Thur morning. Toothpaste is the worst it tastes like machine oil. A chocolate biscuit seems almost normal though - go figure. Most food is now reduced to just texture and, unsurprisingly, I have lost weight. My quarantine is supposed to finish on Sep 1st unless I'm still running a temp and it seems stubbornly high, still. Overall, I feel a bit better but have to focus on each detail of what I'm doing and my eyeballs ache! My hearing seems to have developed a between-radio-station hiss too. The council came around today to see if I needed help which was heartwarming - it's what a society is supposed to do - look after its weakest (imho). I wonder - if this is what covid is like after I was vaccinated, what would have happened had I not been vaccinated? Thank you all for your well wishes
