Well that was an eventful recce!

Some roads being resurfaced, one closed for roadworks. Another closed for an accident (but we found a better alternative because of this).

Two temperamental bikes (neither mine), one trundled home early to be sorted out, the other lost power later on due to a loose connection over a rather fun and bumpy stretch. Easily fixed and not the first time it's happened so no problem really.

I lost a lot of blood (not from an off, but a nosebleed which came from fooking nowhere mid corner, have no idea what caused it either).

Campsite looked nice, there was a mobile food van there but they didn't think it'd still be there come September. Sure something will be sorted for breakfast. Two pubs in the village a short (not 4 miles ) walk away if want meals of an evening.

But all in all a good ride out, will be done again nearer the time to finalise roads and route but it was a worthwhile day for sure.

And Jen, you'll be disappointed to hear there's not actually many double white lines... will just have to make the most of what few there are Quite a few sharp/blind bends however!

It wasn't fun on a harshly sprung supersport bike so oh and size 4 allen key, never leave home without it lol

Was a good practice run, looking forward to doing some of the bumpier sections on the sv! The £800k highly sophisticated camera system on the cat & fiddle didnt take much outsmarting and the less said about this junction the better!

They never look the same at 70+ when you whiplash your neck left and right to confirm or deny imminent death
