Anyone planning a ride today? Bristol way
Weather looks to be holding out and is supposed to be reasonable today. Anyone planning on taking the bike out today?
Don't know the roads too well around Bristol so would be good to tag along with someone who does

I'm north east of Bristol town centre easy reach of m4. Not really sure on where to go!

The A396 is an excellent road through the Exmoor National park, well worth riding and not too far from where you are

Haha, are you mad! that's more than 100 miles away! Cheddar Gorge is closer but still about an hour away. I just fancied quite a quick blast but the roads around me are sh*te. I want to move back to Cardiff, good roads were just a stones throw away!

About 150 mile round trip I reckon, easy to do in a day

No worries. I ended up going down the A4232 and then joined the A46 to Stroud. The top end towards Stroud was pretty nice actually, really good place for taking a pillion as the roads aren't too challenging. Saw plenty of bikes and loads of nice looking pubs on the way too!
Might head towards Bath next time and see what the other direction holds. Decent ride though so I'm happy.
