Painting bar ends - use primer?
Respraying my bar ends, do i have to put a coat of primer before i spray? is it really nessassary?

If you want to paint to easily flake off, then it is not necessary

black smoothrite did a good job if I remember correctly when I did mine, no primer required

Degrease them, allow them to dry then paint away.
I've sprayed parts with plasticote with no issues
