Dan at work is also looking to do his licence. It's not a cheap thing any longer. But if you are lucky there's deals on in the quieter times.
Oh and remember best behaviour around the finchinfield area!
Were LeTour roads were re surfaced is still good, but comes under scrutiny

Okay, back in the office
Thought I'd replace the fuel valve diaphragm whilst the tank is off. It did stink of unleaded all the time, and I've heard that it's a common problem.
Got the replacement kit off Ebay, sorted

Looks like you are having some fun with it already. I'm not mechanically minded but I do like a tinker now and then.

Finchingfield is where a lot of bikers stop off in the summer and have a ice cream and cup of tea (or a full English). The road to Saffron Walden/Newport is very nice to ride now or you can go Haverhill way and up to Bury St Edmunds where you'll pass another bikers cafe (just past HMP Highpoint).

I'm up for a ride most Sunday mornings when it is dry

Yes, always some sort of speed detection activity going on around there

As I always ride 1 mph below the maximum speed limits I don't have to worry

Thanks for the heads-up guys. A full English sounds good to me.
When I'm up and running I will definitely poke my head in, never know, it may have to become a regular run

Back to business (it's been a busy Easter holiday), and the rear subframe mod is moving forward - see pics.
However, hit a slight snag, which has resulted in open-heart-surgery for the carbs. Run her up to change the oil, and there was a puddle of fuel on the floor looks like the seal on one of the float chambers has gone. Getting them carbs off is a real pain! Still, better now, then when she's all screwed back together

Agreed, I love the curvy frame, not a lover of the pointy thing myself
