hi all i have a k8 650 at what temp does the fan cut in.

Yeah it will be just above 100 , I saw this happen once to me on a hot day whilst filtering on the M25 for Miiiiiiiiiiiiles . I thought to myself "Blimey , I could make a brew with that kind of Temperature" , she was fine though

It's pressurised so can go well above 100, should be ok to 120 I think?

hi m8 ,mine comes on @103 and goes off @98 ,but normal running 86-90,

Yep,if i remember rightly thats what my sv used to be,pretty sure the rr is the same.

Don't worry about those sort of temps.

Decent coolant at 1Bar cap pressure is fine for 120C before it gets anywhere near boiling, and while that might be a bit on the warm side for the engine, as long as it has wet coolant in the heads at all times it won't self-destruct.

In engine development we'd run max power/max speed durability cycles at 110C top hose temps. OK so engines differ, but don't have worries about 100C, especially at low speeds in traffic. As long as the fan cuts in it'll be fine.
