FI light at 85mph turn off and it goes - SV650.org

Today i changed the air box with sensors and the throttle bodies in a hope to solve the fueling issue. All was fine until i opened her up and at 85ish the fi light came on when i slowed the bike wouldnt drop any lower than 4k rpm.

I hit the kill switch at the lights and this turned the fi light off and the bike was running fine. Heading home yet again 85ish fi light. I pulled over stuck it into dealer mode but no code all i found out was the line for the TPS kicked in at 3.5k rpm.

Would this point towards a dodgy TPS sensor or something else?

Forgot to mention the only type of code that came up when the light was on was F1 but could of been an i im not sure

I had this when some water got in the back. Fixed itself really quickly though.

I wish that was the case but its happend when dry and since i changed the parts so im guessing dodgy part somewhere

Could be the TPS as you mention. Do you have one off of the other TB's you can test?

go out on bike, take spare key with you
make FI light come on, stop bike but dont turn it off, switch dealer mode and it will now give the error code
if you turn bike off it will reset

Ive got a spare set i took off yesterday but dont have the time or open road to get the fi light back up so will change the tps later and set it to 2.5k rpm and go from there.

On a plus note my mileage is up to 105 without the fuel light on yet which would of been on 10 miles ago

thats the spirit, change things without actualy diagnosing the problem first

You've got time to swap the TPS over but not take it out for 10 minutes? lol

I'd go with TSMs suggestion.
