So the forks lowers in my SV SK6 are pretty horrible and I have been keeping an eye out on ebay for some replacements. Been hoping to pick up some black ones (already got some other tatty silver ones) from an newer SV. Does anyone know what would fit year wise?
I got a leg purporting to be for an SV650 part number 51130-17GB0 but it's the wrong thing. This made me look at my fork legs which have the numbers S360-00-L and S360-00-L is there something funny going on here or is the part number not actually stamped on the fork leg?

The 51130-17GB0 is for a K8 (R). A K6 uses a 51103-17G00 (RH and shares it with K3-K7) and a 51104-17G00 (LH and shares it with a K3-K6), according to Fowlers.

Regarding the S360 number, I found this:
https://www.boonstraparts.com/en/par...l/000000237945 it is a K4 (L). If Fowlers are to be believed then it is actually a 51104-17G00 since it's the same for K3-K6.

It's weird that neither Fowlers nor Robinsons Foundry recognise the number.


Couldn't you have your existing forks powder coated?

Cheers Seeker, Looks like 51130-17GB0 is for an ABS version and as such is missing the top brake hose mount. Last powder coating didn't work well. Obviously a poor job as corrosion underneath caused it to peel off. Thought a factory finish would be better and the lower was £28.
