Not nice at all. Even as a pedestrian I HATE cyclists. All part of the risk, sadly. SO glad you're OK, though. Your bike looks filthy, don't you ever clean it?

I wonder what the chances are of successfully claiming against this numpty? Best of luck, Zig, but I know you have the finest in personal remedial care available to you: the wonderful Verna. Look forward to seeing you soon.

If there's an independent witness who saw the bike swerve into Zig's path there might be some hope, but the odds are that the cyclist won't have any insurance so it's going to be difficult. Without independent witnesses it's a whole different can of worms.

It's probably worth Zig contacting Westminster council to see if there are any CCTV recordings covering that area. They might provide evidence of what happened.

Keith.

Good idea re the CCTV - there are several round there to protect Parliament, and also cos of the demos that the powers that be like to spy on. There's deffo a camera on the junction of Whitehall and Parliament Sq, and also some on the Houses of Parliament themselves. Try TfL (or get the cops to do so) as that bit is a red route so falls under their remit.

Gold star for taking out the cyclist BTW, and an extra bonus point for crashing so close to the hospital! Hope you get bike sorted soon

Think there's a slight chip in your screen there.

Enjoyed the story, glad you're not too hurt. Did the cyclist get injured after being owned by your bike?

Oh.See a lawyer to see if you can claim against the owner of the bike.Surely they must have some insurance even if the numpty riding it hasnt?
