Default Norfolk Loop - May Poll

Sunday 5th June, 11am meetup at Whitwell & Reepham Train Station...have a cuppa and head out by 11:30ish, should get to the coast around 2pm for an ice cream then back to the start for about 3:30ish before heading home

================================================== =================================

Hi All,

Come up with the following loop starting and ending at the Whitwell & Reepham Train Station. he loop covers a nice section of road near Gayton, then heads up to Wells where Ice creams are good, then a little along the coast road until coming back down through Holt etc to where we start

https://goo.gl/maps/J4FB3JbhhiL2

So, I've put a poll up for dates....pick what suits and we can make a definitive choice by the end of April

Looks like the only date I can make it, is 21st/22nd

Not 100% sure I can do it.

Post one up for June as well mate. Weather will be better still I hope. At least I know some of these roads.

If it was me, I'd run the coast road a little bit further to Titchwell and hang a left to Docking, that's a nice bit of road which I've driven, cycled on.

Yeah, I'll try and come up with one per month

If we're going clockwise from whitwell I am assuming you're talking about doing the docking road before heading to Burnham Market?

e.g. https://goo.gl/maps/7WKg2YuYNaw

If you were thinking of something else edit the google map and share the link, it's easier to work through via this thread

Which ever direction is the edited map more inline with what you're saying? If not please edit and post up

Is the loop ride still on? I assume the 22nd as that is the favourite. If so, what time do we meet at Whitwell for the start?

Good job you posted, I'd forgotten all about it....yep, Sunday 22nd sounds like the preferred

As for a time, shall we say 11am meetup, a nice lazy start....then play it by ear from there...have a cuppa and head out, should get to the coast around 2pm for an ice cream then back to the start for about 3:30ish before heading home

I'm going to miss out on this one, wife's shift roster has just changed, so she's working.

Plus I've got a lot on next week, so time to chill at home this weekend

June's less busy so post up the dates for then, if you don't I will

Just been told my mrs is going out on Sunday 22nd, she's heading to the Sevens rugby at Twickenham with Fijian friends so I can't do the 22nd now either, I'll be doing a kids day out instead

Can we make it the 29th May? Or are there other plans afoot for the bank holiday weekend? We can push back in early June if that's for the best.....or even do something on the 29th and again in June when the route is sorted

Whole day rideouts for me are a problem...

Due to family commitments all my rideouts tend to start at 8:00am and take in about 110-150 miles and be home by 11:30am with a quick cuppa and bacon butty in the middle... If anyone wants to join me for a ride like that you are more than welcome - I will try and post them up if I am going
