Thumbs down What's with bike insurance this year?!

just having a rant!

my last year insurance was £357, which included bike leathers, legal and the usual accident protection etc.

this year i've tried the usual comparison sites, Bennetts, Devitt, RCIB etc

and this years insurance has doubled!!! £750 with Bennetts, £630 with Devitt...

anyone else affected like this?

All the same details as last year, Garaged, I've not moved, changed jobs, changed mileage etc or had any other accidents etc

Renewals are always silly prices.
Have a look at confusethemeerkats etc and see what you get quoted for a new policy.

Mine was silly this year when I changed bikes but time will tell (well, February actually) what the full year price will be.

Mine went up a tenner this year, I can normally convince them to put it down

My renewal from Hastings Direct was for £111.62. After looking on a comparison website at the Hastings quote there, I called them and got it reduced to £87.69. Fully comp, 5 years no claims and living in rural Norfolk.

My Car insurance renewal quote,as always, was silly.I got onto Churchill and told them that I had Moneysupermarket page open and ,"THEIR" quote for my car on there was £50 less than their renewal quote!!!!
He said he could,"Price Match".I said come M8.What's the deal?He said there must have been a mistake in the system to send the higher quote".Yeh and to Quote,"Outlaw Josey Whales".

"Don't P*ss down my back and tell me it's rainin'

You've gotta keep an eye on these buggers<grin>

Tip:If you don't already make sure you are NEVER on Auto-Renewal!!!!!!
