Willingham Woods - Sunday 03/05/2009
To get the ride-out ball rolling, is anyone up for a ride to Willingham Woods on Sunday 3 May 2009? This is the May Day bank holiday weekend so you should all have the bank holiday Monday to recover. It’s a little way off yet, but I’m already committed to the Barmouth and Welsh TT rides, which are both arranged for April, so one for your diaries.
Will be setting out from Midland Superbikes in Market Harborough and heading to Willingham Woods, which is on the A631 just to the east of Market Rasen. The route will take us through Melton Mowbray, Grantham, Sleaford and Horncastle before returning via Lincoln and back to Grantham (See routes below). Should total about 220 miles from and to Market Harborough and will be a full day ride. Anyone wanting to come from the Notts/Derby area and doesn’t want to come down to Market Harborough, we can arrange a meet somewhere around Grantham, but it would be worth coming down just to go on the B6047 Harborough/Melton road. Meeting at Midland Superbikes at 10am for a 10.30 depart.
