Default Refitting spark plug cap.

hi, i'm nearly at the end of changing the spark plugs in my k3. but i've hit a problem. can't push the front cap on secure and its driving me mad. in the manual it says point the arrow on the cap to the exhaust side of the bike. but to put it on, the way it came off, means the arrow would be pointing the opposite way. tried to turn it the other way, but the lead does not seem long enough, and another pipe on the cylinder head is in the way! i must admit it is a bit awkward trying to get a good push on it with the radiator there (yes i have undone it and pushed it forward! ha) any tips?

cheers

I might be wrong but I'm reading this as you're pointing the arrow to the rear of the bike.

I think the arrow points to the exhaust side of the CYLINDER, so the front plug cap arrow would be pointing forwards.

very good point tamsv, in the manual it does say exhaust side of the bike (must be one of them silly jap translations) just tried it the way it came off, and used a table spoon over the cap to give me a bigger area to push on, and it slipped on a treat.

cheers mate, ride safe!

I had the same problem when I done mine. It doesn't seem to click on as nicely as the rear cap, makes you wonder if it's on properly. I'm still not 100% sure it's on properly but I've clocked up about 300miles since without a problem so it must be. I hate doing it on the SV, **** design.
