Aaaaargh for feck sake!!! Bloody DWP. After spending three months leading me to believe am entitled to pension credits, and failing to contact me when they said they would despite repeated phone calls to them, they now tell me I'm not after all eligible.
Useless feckwits.

Gary I would double check here. I wouldn't trust then to get it right.

Just checked again and I'm over the income limit by just over £2 a week. That's with just a state pension and absolutely no other income.

It's really not good. There wouldn't have been much extra money added to my pension, but it would have allowed me to apply for assistance with one or two other essentials, including a social tariff for my phone/broadband.

Not in the same league as Gary's gripe, but .............

All of a sudden I can't log in to my email using the phone. (Virgin Media/Samsung). It's been working fine for months since I got the phone. I can log in no probs on the laptop, same wifi etc. It seems this is not an unknown issue judging by various VM forum threads on it.
It says not a valid email, and according to others you can't even use the reset password function etc. (I haven't messed with that, leave well alone for now).
Is it VM or android causing this? I suspect an update has caused this, typical of the kids they employ messing about with software and screwing stuff up.

Hate this hassle, it worked, leave it alone FFS. I'm sure it's not caused by my stuff, so I'm not about to start messing with resets/passwords etc and risk complicating it all further. Just another PITA.

Edit - well there's a thing, it's now decided to work again. I've not changed anything, it just works like it used to. Maybe divine intervention? Who cares, it works.

On the one hand this is a smile - the £ is now only $1.09 which gives me a bigger pension. On the other hand this is terrible news for the country. I guess the foreign exchange markets were underwhelmed by Kwasi's trickle down economics budget.

I heard it referred to as "Kamikwazi economics" today. Do you ever feel the lunatics are finally in charge of the asylum?

Yes.

According to the Telegraph, Truss wants to cut taxes again in the Spring.

What happened to living within your means?
What happened to the Party of fiscal responsibility?
Do you remember the warnings of chaos if we elected Corbyn instead of a Conservative government?

We have walked this path before, it didn't end well. Look up Anthony Barber, the last Tory Chancellor to try this plan.
