Default Led indicator flash rate

Getting some Motrax led arrow indicators for xmas and was wondering those of you that do have led indys....have you had much of a problem with the flash rate? I have seen replacement flash relays to correct this but it seems on the pointy the relay used for the turn signal is combined with the relay for the side stand i think and so i am not sure i can replace the relay if i need to.

Any experience or thoughts you have on this are welcome

what i did on my curvey was fitted the individual resistors that you can buy from hein gerickes for a couple of quid each, you'll need four. i souldered them in before i fitted the indies.

if you just plug them in they'll flash faster, you will need to fit either the resisters or a different relay.

resistors is the only way to go on pointy's as the relay is in built.

You can fit the alternative relay to a pointy, and a curvy too - they share the same flasher unit/starter lockout relay combination. All you need to do is remove the indicator wiring from the connector block in which the relay fits and connect them direct to the new flasher unit, which you can fit next to the original.

Would much prefer to solder cheap resistors in. Someone on here used 10w 10 ohms resistors from Maplins....i have found the 10 w wire wound resistors here

http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?ModuleNo=2181&doy=

but can someone tell me which one is 10 ohms?

That was me - I think

H10R is 10Watt 10 ohm.

About 25p each - get 4, wire each one in parallel, piece of ****
