Hi ,

Can any one help please ?

My wife was driving on a car park , pulled out and there was a car coming , car broke no contact .

However have received a NIP careless or inconsiderate driving

What do I need to do

Put her name on the NIP & send it back

arent car parks private property , if she was in the grounds maybe the NIP is not applicable?

Pretty much!

Rturn it and then someone will probably interview her. Do not have to make contact, technically it is careless driving.

but when was it an offence to pull out on someone, if no cantact was made, where did the nip come from,

No, by law you are REQUIRED by S172 to tell them who was driving said vehicle at time of said offence. Not to would be an offence.

Plus, she wouldn'y be filling it out, it will be Steve, if he is the registered keeper.

this sounds a bit fishy to me

you were on a private car park (?)

i take it the other driver must have reported it to the police? i would just denie it, dunno what your on about guv

very strange

surly they cant go round issiuing NIPs willy nilly just cos someone was unpleased by her driving

unless the other driver was old bill?

Hi

It just states that on Sunday 30/8 her car has been reported for careless or inconsiderate driving

It was in a hotel carpark , wife was droping son who works there off , I was in the car as well and there was no contact , no marks on car

Will pop across to Police station tomorrow with wife to make statement.

Just think it the other car driver being a c@@k

I have had police visit my house before saying that some one had said that I had been ridding my motorbike at 100 mph in a 40 ..... ( they were talking b@ll@@ks) , but its not nice having old bill on the door step

I could write a book on inconsiderate car drivers while riding by bikes over the years !

Doesn't matter if the land is private, if the public have access the Road Traffic Act still applies
