Re: Service Shocker
The last quote I had for everything up to & including valve check (not including adjustment) was £160.
If I do everything & get them to do the valve check, £100. |

Re: Service Shocker
I've never paid the quoted price. They will quote for the top end, so if all your barkes need changing, plus a service etc. Find out what they are quoting for, and thier hourly rate.

Re: Service Shocker
My dad brought his bike from there, on the face of things the guys are great there but when it comes to doing you a favour they do their best to avoid it.. Couldn't even ring my dad to tell him his bike was ready to be picked up, even though my dad asked for a phone call.. Bet you've never had a call from them . I think he'd have gone else where if he hadn't gone so far in the deal. I think you should get a few more quotes!!!

Re: Service Shocker

my bike has done 6500 miles but ive had my off as well and i dont really know what im doing with the mechanical side so i either leave it up to my m8 whos very good but equaly as busy or pay 280 nickers and feel ripped off. |

Re: Service Shocker
Why not ring around a few other dealers and get some other quotes to compare.

Re: Service Shocker
Every time I need to take the car for work to be completed, tyre changed or whatever. I NEVER go to one garage, get quote and let them do the work. I use the phone and ring around. Each time I get a cheaper quote I call the previous ones and ask if they can beat it. The cheapest one wins.
I had to have the cam belt changed recently. I phoned six different garages for quotes. The most expensive was close to £400. I got it done in the end for £110. This is for a car that just about has to have the engine removed to change the belt and all the air conditioning dismantled. |
