New Avon Storm Rear Needed ASAP!!
Hi folks,
Any suggestions where I can get a new rear Storm by Friday? Buckley tyres want £125 fitted!!!! Any suggestions where I can get one cheaper in North Wales / Cheshire? I will ring F&B in Sandbach but he needs to order and probably can only fit tonight (no tyre) or tomorrow evening (if lucky). So I need somewhere with one in stock. |

Re: New Avon Storm Rear Needed ASAP!!
Ha! Dragon Tyres come through again! As my swing arm is a single sided affair the rear wheel mounts like a car wheel with 4 studs, so I gave my local car tyre shop a ring. £110 fitted, tyre here tomorrow or Friday. £110 still a bit pricey, but as they are £93 delivered off EBay not too bad. After fitting and tyre disposal charges it's costing me maybe £10 to be able to just turn up with the wheel. I'll live with that.

Congrats, was going to say that there's no-where over this side that would be even close to Buckley's prices (even after I add fuel to the round trip cost).
Sad to see Buckley are starting to put their prices up, but after a chat with them last time, they were starting to struggle a bit. |

I was gonna add that Damage has a spare Azaro that he could have sorted you out with in time but he can`t balance tyres . And has no paddock stand to support a Viffer anyway .

Well tis sorted now, but thanks any road. Viffer is a sensible bike with a center stand, so no need for paddock stands. I'm taking in the loose wheel and leaving my bike on the stand

Why didn't you buy two? You must have worn that first one out - never saw you except at the stops.

Re: New Avon Storm Rear Needed ASAP!!
As leader, I had to stay at the front.
Rear well and truly scrubbed, especially right side after being a little 'enthusiastic' on one long sweeping right hander. Now need to sort the suspendies, we reached it's limit two up with luggage. |
