Default Cheers Dave Preston.

Well that was a trip I'll now be wanting to repeat in those weather conditions.

Went over to Dave Prestons to pick up some biking gear for my son. So since Saturday was a pleasant day I thought I'd take the bike. Got the Gear - Cheers Dave - and went to Lancaster to see my sister. But the journey back over from Lancaster M6 North ,then A66 over to Barnard Castle was hurrendus

Rain and Wind ! Never have I been so wet and blown around !

Hey hoe - and now it's time for work too...

Looking forward to tomorrow morning 8am so I can have a whisky and relax and sleep.

How did that happen, Richie?
Was at Buttertubs & Kirkby Stephen ( within sight of A66 ) and whilst it was breezy, only slight rain.
You should have taken the scenic route!

And there was I, in that there Yorkshire place. Weather was good to be at a graveside in the shadow of Skipton castle. Even when I got back on the right side for a few drinkies it was a glorious day. Blackburn won. Me mothers ashes buried. and even found out some trivia from the vicar in Skipton to make this proud Lancastrian proud of his Yorkshire roots. Apparently Skipton was the only Yorkshire castle to stand for Lancashire during the squabbling all those years ago. So nice to think that whilst she is in Yorkshire. A Lancashire heritage watches over her.

Dave

This fake Lancastrian got told of some of his Lancashire roots whilst with family on Saturday. Some of which you would be proud of. Whilst my great great grandfather owned the Longridge quarries (race track in the 70s). his son my great grandfather had a pub. I was shown a press cutting of him appearing before the bench for :-

Serving ale to a police constable during the course of his duties. I am sure you would approve of his support for his local bobby.
