Oxford heated grips not working.
When I really needed it too.
Power from the battery: check Little LED on: check Looked at the contacts - corroded: Polished them up. Power from control box: Nope. Nada. Anyone have any ideas? I thought the box was sealed and "couldn't" break? Thanks in advance... |

Which grips?
I had the wrap around ones and the control box on that is just crap. Water gets in from every angle. Mine stopped working and i opened up the box to find a couple of wires rusted right thru. Little magic with the soldering and it was all ok again.

It's the one where you refit the grips themselves.

OH, ok.
The control box on those looks a damn sight better than the simple one that comes with mine. But still may be worth a look at.

Are they not working at all? or just occasionally? Mine were cutting out on a frequent basis and it was caused by the wires getting caught.

They started cutting out, or just being merely "warm". Then they stopped completely - at 7:00am in the M3 at 90mph.

Sorry to say that mine went the same way - started cutting out, only working intermittantly, etc. Worse thing was when they got stuck in the full on position - too hot to hold the bars

Hmm, does anyone know if there is a grease that conducts? I'd quite like to seal the contacts.
