Default Gear slipping problem (falling out of gear)

under load today in 5th gear bike decided to slip back in to neutral on full throttle. done it a few times recently but not like this, only usually when i don't get the gear in properly and go to rev and nothing happens apart from rev's out (like going back in to neutral)

is this just a dent star problem?
problem dosn't happen all of the time
new oil in bike 1k ago
22k on bike
k3 bike

every thing else is peachy

So either you are getting a false neutral or massive clutch slip? When you twist on, is road speed picking up at all?

i used to shift into gear 4.5 sometimes when id just got my bike, doing the same as urs, with an epic crunch when it did catch a gear, hasnt happened in a while though, I just asumed that I haddent changed gear properly

no road speed increase, and if i hadn't have changed again i would have coasted to a stop, so seems like a falls neutral.

The K5 detent mechanism is a lot more positive than the previous one(s), you need the star, arm, and spring. I stuck it in my curvy, which has always had a sloppy gearchange (not very Suzuki), and it's still not great (shifting still not very smooth) but no more jumping out of gear. PM Sarah and she'll sort you out with the bits. You need to take the clutch out for it though so need to drain oil and water, not a tough job otherwise.
