Im looking to do my first trackday this spring and my mates have invited me to Rockingham on the 17th i think. They are all on 600cc inline fours, and me my sv650. Is this a good track to do as a first timer on my SV? My bike has SRAD front and ZX10 rear shock so its ready but looking at the length of the straight it seems very long for my little bike!

L3nny - Ahh I'm booked in at Rockingham on Sunday 17th March. Make sure you leave it nice n grippy for the Sunday!

Serdna, 650 is fine around there, the straights aren't long like Snetterton or Silverstone etc. I think good 600/650's are the best bikes for Rockingham.

Haha ye of little faith!

I'm tempted by most of these but unfortunately they dont fit that great with my deadlines and exams! Silverstone might work for me though!

Rockingham is the perfect track for a first timer and indeed the SV. It's a shortish track nd the straight is short compared to some.

Def not going to be able to make Donnington on Thursday now, bike is still at the menders and wont be ready till Thus afternoon. Shame as the weather forecast isn't too bad.

Im tempted by Rockingham on the 17th but it seems a little pricey for the time of year does it not? It was 75 quid last September.

I might wait until the week before to see if prices drop and the weather looks okish

You sure that was for the International track?

I thought it looked about £10 more than usual too, but those are the old dates I can do, and a tenner isn't much in the grand scheme.
