My wife thinks it was from gardening the day before. My back was certainly sore when I'd finished but I had no aches when I went to bed. I was up in the middle of the night too helping Mrs Admin to go the loo and I was fine then. It was probably the monster under the bed that clobbered me.

As for your friend, he must have had a major deja Vue moment when he crossed that bridge. I've had a few moments like that. Very odd.

Just renewed my M/C insurance. Got the reminder off Hastings ( I never have insurance on auto-renewal=rip-off )

Pretty much same price as last year but still had a look at a comparison site. Could have got it a few quid cheaper but for convenience thought I'd stick with Hastings so rang them up. Gave up after being on hold over 40 mins whilst watching TV.

Went out to do a bit of shopping and tried again later. Gave up after 20 mins plus.

Went on ,"Meercat" and found a ,"One Call" deal for a pound cheaper AND free basic breakdown cover so saved me £40/50 squids so bought that.

Hastings can kiss my hairy hoop

Threadlock. If there's a world shortage of threadlock it's because Suzuki used it all on my GSX passenger footrests.

My 2012 Triumph Speedmaster - parts replaced in the last six months or so:
1. Leaking oil cooler
2. Thermostat for above
3. Worn/old clutch plates & springs, and associated crankcase gaskets
4. Air filter
5. Oil filter
6. Headstock bearings
7. Rocker box cover plate gasket
8. Spark plugs
9. Rotten/rusty rear fender/mudguard
10. Rusty (with a hole in the underside) swinging arm
11. Oil cooler feed pipework.
plus service and MOT.

It's been an expensive year for the trumpet.

The wife is questioning what I intend doing with the bike next year when I retire...

That's quite a list. I assume the hole in the swingarm was a drain or did it rust through?

It rusted through. Fortunately I’d managed to get a nearly new replacement from eBay for about £90.

Looking at that lot I take it that it likes the 'sea air'

Yes Red, that's what Im thinking. It did also get a dip in some water fom the Adriatic when I was trying to make my escape from the coast during a particularly heavy downpour. Intentions are next year strip it right down so I can get to the frame to remove rusty areas, maybe get it powder coated along with the wheels and spend my time putting it back together. Maybe do my own respray too.

Just asked Lycamobile for a PAC code. I've had three faults in the past month and I'm tired of their fault reporting procedure.
So many things in life these days relies on having a reliable phone service, such as two factor authentication for banking etc.
My current phone has two SIM slots so I'll be adding a second number to my phone but running on different network to SIM 1.

Also I don't have a landline any more.

I've been testing a Lyca Sim as a spare/alternate for my GiffGaff account. I won't be renewing the monthly deal when it runs out :/

I've been with GiffGaff years and even though there are bigger data deals etc I make a tidy bit of ,"Pay-Back" helping on their support forum, so much so I've not paid for my phone Network since joining them and the O2 they run on in my area is robust

I've not had a landline since around 2010 :O

I use my phone as my Broadband and Hotspot to my Laptop like now. My old TV doesn't do Wi-Fi so I use an HDMI cable to me TV from my Laptop if I want to use Iplayer or similar but stick to SD not HD so as to use less data and avoid buffering
