Default 2019 sv650

I read this on a site that was previewing the new Suzuki models:

"The SV lineup has also been updated with new four-piston Tokico callipers and floating 290mm front disks."

...but since I can't remember what brakes my 2016 has, I wasn't sure how much has changed. Does the SV currently have twin piston calipers?

http://www.suzukicycles.com/Product%...19/SV650A.aspx

it does indeed look like suzuki have finally dumped the twin pots for four pots. its still not enough mr suzuki.. give us proper suspension along with the brakes.

the brakes on the 2016 are twin pots.

I think the pointy ceased production around 2103/14 although there seemed to be a lot of new, old stock available after that time. I saw a new one advertised for sale when I bought my AL7 in 2016.

Reading the blurb via the link above, also new for 2019 is "a repositioned muffler that increases the lean angle when cornering" apparently.

I look forward to seeing that in operation - sounds pretty lethal to me!

Blue frame looks like it's got too many people having their input on it. It's becoming a bit of a confused combination. I can imagine all the marketing people saying, we need that retro look, but those MT07's seem popular and they have flouro and coloured wheels. But it also needs to look sporty, but classic...

let me rephrase that... our supplier messed up making the exhausts so we got them cheep and we have come up with some marketing bull to make it sound better

as for the blue frame and such.. we have run out of marketing bull to keep up with the competition so we have put some new callipers on and changes some paint instead of addressing the other problems so we can keep it cheep as chips and not as good to ride as our other bikes like the gsxr coz we need to sell those too.

even if suzuki were to give an option for a suspension upgrade it would make it better than ALL the competition out there. make a base model then a list of upgrades like USD front end with adjust ability and proper dampening. upgraded rear shock thats fully adjustable.. yada yada..

we can but dream.....

or rather than an option list, just do what Yamaha did with the MT09/10 range, and make an "SP" version with shiny bits...
