Search function is boring so my question for you all is if I'm due s nest chain and sprocket set do I take the opportunity to drop a tooth on the front?

better going up on the rear as going down on the front can chew the swingarm.. keep it clean now

Definitely worth a change in gearing I went up 3 on the back on my curvy and it's made an incredible difference, I would never look back to putting standard sizing on

Did that require more links in your chain?

That I'm not sure about mate, my bike guy done it all for me while it was in for a service all I know was that he said I had to remember the sizing set was the same as the gladius so it will be whatever length of chain comes with a gladius sprocket kit. I lost about 10mph of the top speed so now makes at 120, but the gain in acceleration more than makes up for it, and still has loads of pull if you need to overtake in top gear without having to drop a gear

Standard sv 0-60 is 3.7 isn't it? How much of a change is it, what sort of bikes will you be out accelerating?

Yeah that sounds about right, I think this will have brought it down to 3, ( i think tge gladius is 3.1) I've never actually timed it, however my mates gsxr600 can't keep up till about 100 110 then he just sneaked past, accelerates past a Daytona 675, the aprillia shiver 750 can only just keep up, I can stay hot on the tail of my mates blade till about 80 then he starts to slowly pull away but not enough to think god he has smoked me, so around the twisties there's not much that can pull away or keep up.

Honestly will be the best upgrade you make, there's a slight gain with revs on the motorway by about 500rpm cruising but I can live with that

Absolutely mate, it's great fun, I spent ages thinking do I don't I, glad I did, it has left me thinking that was a close call a few times mind, when giving it a handful out of a corner and the front end lifts (not just fork travel) you'll enjoy it for sure
