Default BBC Sports Personality 2008

the contenders :-

Rebecca Adlington
Nicole Cooke
Chris Hoy
Rebecca Romero
Bradley Wiggins
Ben Ainslie
Christine Ohuruogu
Lewis Hamilton
Joe Calzaghe
Andy Murray

i reckon Hamilton will win, but my personal opinion (is there any other?) it ought to be either Hoy or Adlington

I suspect there'll be a cop out of sorts and have team GB as the "team" winner.

oo oo i think i'll do a poll.....

I agree with you Keith, Hamilton will get the popular vote, but I think Hoy is much more deserving, what he's done this year is nothing short of awesome.

However he doesnt come across well on the TV during interviews, but Rebecca Adlington is much better at that kind of stuff.

I think that the title of the award should be changed.
As everyone knows its nothing to do with their personality.
David Beckham once won it and he's made out of wood.

Been a pretty good year for cycling, but its just not a popular sport, hence why I think Hamilton will win it as F1 is much more mainstream and he's the first Brit in what 12 years to do anything decent results wise.

I'm not knocking his acheivment is just doesnt IMHO comapre to Hoy's Gold medal haul.

His Royal Hoyness is surely the most deserving but all the Hovis's of this great nation will alas see to it that Hamilton wins.

Nadel?....

murrey isnt carp....he's just a C**K IMO....

id like to see hoy win it as he doesnt seem to be getting the adalation (? cant spell) he deserves..look at all the fuss over Amir im a panzy Khan (prolly wouldnt say to his face like) after getting one silver.....

hamilton has done great, if he'd done it in his first season then sure he would be a given to win it. take nothing away from him but lets be honest he's been racing for years sponsered by mcclaren, he was always gonna be good!....vote hoy!
