Default MISFIRE

Hi guys my 02 SV has a small misfire when running around town,it runs just fine on the main roads but is a bit lumpy at 40 in top, just fitted 2 new plugs so its not that ? didnt get any history with bike as i bought it damaged. cheers Gav.

was it raining??.. do u have fender extender?? idle speed?? set right- I dunno.

Front cyclinder??? Check the rubber plugs on the carbs... Some idiot on here spent months saving to get his bike sorted when it was as simple as doing that... Now who was it

thanks for quick response [as usual] yes it was raining flipn scottish weather! but it dose it in the dry too, i noticed the last owner has taped up the rear plug lead and coil, but front looked untouched.dose extenda fenda help ?.cheers again

Check that there are no loose connections to the coils, vibes at low revs could be causing a bad connection, pretty easy and cheap to check once you've got the tank off.

This affected me but was all over the rev range so may not be the correct diagnosis.

I used to have problems...

got a fender ext- and it seems oknow..

but if it does it in the dry too??>....
