Would agree with Bibio, When I had a dodgy knee I covered the normal seat with foam and then a cover, quick easy and a lot cheaper!

I think you might be right ,if I can tolerate not getting my feet down as flat. I take back my previous comments about lowering the gear lever,I had forgotten it is operated by a linkage .Not sure about lowering the rear brake pedal by he threaded rod ! Was speaking to somebody today at a classic car and bike show at Ripon (incidentally only about half a dozen classic bikes there at half past one ! ) who said you can get a full footpeg ,gear lever and rear brake pedal
alteration kit. Don't know if this is right for lowering or forward adjustment.(I know you can get rearset footpeg kits. )

They make them for the DL650 VStrom.

You'd need to check to see if they'd fit though since the SV and the DL have different frames.
